![]() ![]() It'd be great if you could share your experiences/thoughts on this extension. You can add custom filters just like adblock/plus as well. You don't need to enable the AdGuard Assistant userscript (aka extension) in AdGuard for Windows - it's depreciated and been replaced with the AdGuard Browser Assistant (it'll be fully removed in a future major update of the app). Again, I can't really definitively measure the resources used but the settings interface on its own is quite well made and organised. Chrome extensions work fine in Edge (after enabling third-party stores). However, it is quite barebones without too much control over the ad blocking.Īdguard has been in development for Chrome for some time now that claims to be a lightweight and modern version of Adblock with a simpler interface and most importantly a lower consumption of resources. I found Bluhell Firewall to be very effective and lightweight (I didn't measure it though). I had been using Adblock Edge in the past but after stumbling upon uBlock (for Chrome) I was intrigued to see if Firefox had any lightweight ad blocking extensions. At unpredictable moments, AdGuard stops working in Google Chrome and I need to quit Google Chrome and relaunch it if I want AdGuard to continue functioning. I was trying to compare some lightweight adblock alternatives as I need something for a low end machine that doesn't have too much RAM. ![]()
